Welcome and Information Center

The Chamber building, located on the historic central square in downtown Madison, serves as a welcome and information center for Madison and Madison County. Each year, hundreds of tourists as well as residents visit the Chamber to request maps and information on things to see and do in Madison County.

Who's Who in Business in Madison County and Quality of Life Guide

Members receive a copy of the Chamber directory in which each member business is listed alphabetically and by category. This publication is distributed as part of the official relocation package for people interested in relocating to our area and provided to the many visitors who stop in for information.

Internet Exposure

Only member businesses are listed in the online Business Directory with a direct link to their business web site and an e-mail link for potential customers to contact member businesses. The online Business Directory is searchable by business name or category. 

Chamber Business Newsletter

All members and renewing members will receive a copy of the monthly Chamber business newsletter.

Committees

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce has four committees and task forces. Members are encouraged to serve on a committee or task force to study issues impacting our community and to recommend positions on those issues.

Tax Deductibility

Membership in the Chamber is 100% deductible as a necessary business expense.

Membership Mailing Data Base

Member businesses may contact other members through a data base to generate mailing labels. Excel format.

Community and Chamber Calendar of Events

The Chamber maintains a city and county calendar of civic events. Organizations are invited to enter their events on the calendar, as well as to check available dates when planning activities.

Development of Positive Business Reputation

Chamber members enjoy the benefit of being known as members of the Chamber of Commerce. Members are provided a wall certificate to display in their places of business and are listed in the annual Chamber Who's Who in Business publication.

Annual Membership Banquet

Every fall the Chamber celebrates it’s successes and recognizes the members who make the Chamber a functioning entity. This is also a perfect opportunity to network with other business members.

Brochure and Business Card Rack

The Chamber lobby is a place for active members to display their business cards and brochures.

Grand Openings, Ribbon Cuttings and Ground Breaking

These ceremonies, including acknowledgments from Chamber officials, increase the visibility of new or expanding businesses and are provided to Chamber members only. Free newsletter coverage of these events is provided by the Chamber, along with news releases to the area press.

Business Referrals

Only active Chamber members are referred to for business referrals to many visitors who come to the Chamber every day.

Platform to Address Business Issues with State and Local Government Officials

The Chamber serves as a contact for its members who wish to bring business issues to the attention of state and local government leaders. Business issues are studied and addressed by several Chamber committees.

Resource Center

Information resources are available at the Chamber - examples include community demographics, local and area phone directories, community calendar, a list of clubs and organizations, local and state maps, major employers and industrial directory, Business Start Up Kits and contact information for all levels of government officials.
